About Green Path
Green Path was formed in 2004 by Püsi and Imi. Previously they both played in other bands. The main idea behind forming the band was to introduce a new, not well known style in Hungary. This type of music mixes Nu-metal and modern rock, spiced with hard verse themes and cool refrains. Kocka (bass) joined the band in the fall of 2004. After having a few changes made at the guitarist post Dave arrived to the group so the final line-up was done by the beginning of 2008.
First live performance was given in 2005 and the feedback was absolutely unexpected as the crowd loved the new fashioned music. Furthermore, the band won and came second in different live talent shows held in Hungary and abroad. Additionally Püsi received an award for best singer, and Imi for the best drummer.
At the beginning of 2007 the band went to a studio to record a 3 song demo, which became much better than expected and due to to the interesting and diverse music the press wrote in flattering terms: "These three songs are one of the most exiting demos, that I've heard in the last many months. -- After I listened to it 10 times, I didn't get bored!" (HammerWorld, 10/2007). This gave new boost to the guys and over 60 concerts behind them with lots of experience they started to write harmonious and high standard songs.
In the summer of 2008 the band’s music became mature enough for a studio album so they recorded their first album called No More Lies. The recording was done in the MusicArt studio, under the guidance of Csongor Farkas who became the band's producer too. The recording took place from August 2008 to February 2009 and the long, hard work was worthwile as The No More Lies got a world class sound, and thanks to the exiting and energetic songs the album is easy to listen. The rich emotional style is a mixture of the hard metal riffs and the melodic, pop style refrains, the rap and scratch solos give some more shade so the result is simply fantastic.
